If spooled up loosely Braid will dig into itself on the reel spool when line is peeled off from a fish, binding up and possible lost fishy. Apply a good coat or 2 of carbuna wax to bare spool. I am looking for a fishing rod here in New ... i have 2 mxj's. although you can put 300 yards of 65 lb. braid it only has 9-12 lbs of drag. and even with that little of drag the handle gets hard to crank at the upper range. should work for smaller fish. there are people catching larger fish with these reels but will take some finessing.

I personally think Talica 25II is out of it's league with 400lb class fish in the mix, Talica 50II is probably the next logical choice if you're going with Shimano. "Fluorocarbon shock leader" is brand marketing. All leader material mono or fluoro has got some degree of elongation or shock absorption. Fluorocarbons like Blackwater, Yozuri, Ande, Blue label Seaguar, Momoi are your stouter less pliable fluoros.Without question the SWT OBX 300 is the best rod. Otherwise, stick with your Stella 20K, because you do not absolutely need a high speed reel for casting to tuna.
