360tuna - I would fish #80 to #100 Braid on the popping rod with #130 or #100 Fluor leader. If you hook into a nice Cubera you will need it, and the fish don't seem to mind the heavier leader. For the big tunas at Hannible I go also go #80 to #100 PE line with a 25' wind on leader say #80 to #100.

I personally think Talica 25II is out of it's league with 400lb class fish in the mix, Talica 50II is probably the next logical choice if you're going with Shimano.
